Ways to Show Appreciation to Your Volunteers

It's Volunteer Appreciation Week April 12-18th, how do you show appreciation to your volunteers? Often we forget to show appreciation to those who work by our side sparing their time to help us accomplish our goals. There are many ways to thank and show your appreciation to your volunteers.
The following list is some ideas your can use to express your appreciation:
  • Gifts - give your volunteers a gifting to show thanks for all their help and time. It could be something small like a t-shirt or key chain.
  • Offer to be a reference- volunteering looks great on a resume. Offer to be a reference for your volunteers or write them a letter of recommendation.
  • Recognize their efforts- give them a round of applause at your next event or highlight their efforts on your website. Don't let their acts of kindness go unnoticed.
  • Feed them- provide food to your volunteers when they work. This will keep them focused and show you care.

Volunteering can be a tough but rewarding job. Many organizations and charities would not be able to operate without volunteers. Take time this month and make sure you show your volunteers how much you appreciate all that they do.

What are some ways you have showed your appreciation for volunteers? Comment and share below.
